RiverSide Integrated Solutions (RIS) has its roots in the Midwest. With over 40 years in Winona county, Minnesota, RIS has become synonymous with quality and integrity. Our history goes back to 1984, when three visionary engineers began contract manufacturing electromechanical assemblies in a partner’s garage in Winona. Given their location near the Mississippi River, they called it RiverSide Electronics, Ltd., and the “RiverSide” name was born.

In 1988, the company outgrew its original building and relocated equipment and over 200 employees to Lewiston. That same year, RiverSide Electronics was recognized by Business Week magazine as one of the 25 fastest-growing high-tech companies in the United States. The year after, RiverSide opened a second manufacturing facility in Rushford, Minnesota.

As the customer base expanded, demand grew for packaging, kitting and distribution services that went beyond the original RiverSide Electronics's capacity. So, in 1995, one of RiverSide Electronics, Ltd.’s founders, Stephen Craney, created RiverStar, Inc. to provide contract packaging, kitting, testing, repair and distribution services. And in 2007, Stephen Craney and Rodney Allen recognized another customer need: low-volume electronic manufacturing. Customer requests for material risk management and unique customized solutions led to the creation of RiverBend Electronics, Ltd.

The three companies worked in tandem with one another for nearly two decades, but in 2020, RiverSide Electronics, RiverStar and RiverBend Electronics began operating under a single name and brand: RiverSide Integrated Solutions, Inc.

Continuing the RiverSide tradition of customer-focused services, RIS works with mid-to-large-sized original equipment manufacturers providing full-package offerings in supply chain management, printed circuit board assembly, electromechanical and mechanical assembly or subassembly, fulfillment, distribution and reverse logistics.

Today, RIS is a financially robust, advanced contract manufacturing company that employs more than 200 people and services OEMs worldwide.
