Inside Scoop: Production Leadership

Production leadership at RIS encompasses many different roles which help to guide and support our production operations at all of our facilities. Our production leadership team is responsible for the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing facilities.

Production Leadership Roles Include:

Frontline Supervisor: The Cell Coordinator supervises co-workers in a production cell. This position entails both work and personnel scheduling for the production process flow. The goal with this position is to build the skills required to advance, monitor and continuously improve our production process flow. This position also provides professional growth opportunities.

Shift Leader: This position oversees and manages 2nd shift production employees and processes. Shift Leaders are key players in improving knowledge, training and progression of job potential and production processes. In this position, we look for people with a passion for continuous learning, teamwork, creativity, implementation of improvement strategy and are committed to excellence.

Production Manager: These professionals provide work direction and guidance to production operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems supporting both the Lewiston or Winona facility operations. They also assess personnel needs and maintain staff commensurate with workload.

Operations Manager: Operations Managers lead dynamic teams of Productions Managers and are responsible for achieving a high level of quality through the leadership and coordination of all external and internal Production Management duties and responsibilities. This role ensures that all job functions of the Production Managers are performed accurately and in a timely manner to support the ongoing customer and business needs. The Operations Manager is responsible for leading, developing and mentoring the Production Management team.
